Principals of two private equity real estate firms (Thrive FP & Comunidad Realty Partners) wanted to formalize their social impact intentions to help cost-burdened residents they profited from as landlords. They also wanted to drive higher ROI value into their multifamily property portfolio by helping their resident communities in areas of their unmet needs.
Innovation gains: impact to market roadmap with delivery of a first ever national Telehealth service partnership for communities. Piloting of affordable health care access to entire communities as a resident retention platform with a "replicable, scalable and sustainable" national distribution, earned-income strategy for evolving additional community impact successes.
Impact gains: success map of desired outcomes; designed, refined and constituted the initial operations of a tax exempt 501c3 public charity serving multifamily communities; recruited a diverse Board of Directors with national reputations; bootstrapped national scale product targets for delivering impacts at greater than prior baseline results; launched pilots in several communities.
