"Social Wealth" is simply the measurable human behavioral, financial and material environmental improvements desired by all five stakeholder groups (the Five Allies) to any undertaking: investors, teams, partners, paying customers and communities..

     

    Social Wealth's first principles derive from capitalism as described in Adam Smith's foundational treatise The Theory of Moral Sentiments (prior to his magnum opus The Wealth of Nations). Smith introduces capitalism as a moral philosophy, i.e. capital is meant to distribute value creation and wealth. Smith's words, published in 1759, remain a powerfully actionable resource for all of us seeking purpose and profit today:

     

    How selfish soever man may be supposed, there are evidently some principles in his nature, which interest him in the fortunes of others, and render their happiness necessary to him...​

    Rob Hanna coined the term social wealth in 1991 while working on Wall Street. He reasoned the creativity, insights and innovations used to create private wealth could also be applied to significantly improve positive outcomes for society at scale. He was right.

     

    Rob launched Social Wealth Partners in 2006 with a mission to widely share proven innovations and support all who desire to accelerate positive social outcomes at scale and achieve enduring legacy.

    Rob Hanna is the founding partner of Social Wealth Partners. His financial wealth creation experience includes sales leader for the oldest brokerage firm on Wall Street, general partner of multiple offshore hedge funds, co-founder and managing director of a German wealth management Aktiengesellschaft, angel investor, venture accelerator architect for thousands of venture startups and advisor to impact investor funds, portfolios and early stage venture founders.

     

    Rob entered into social wealth creation in 1993 as a philanthropic venture: the failure of traditional charity methods to achieve significant impacts was an opportunity and inspiration to innovate new public and private capital investment methodologies based on wealth creation principles and innovation skills.

     

    Two decades of direct experience innovating on Wall Street and achieving signficantly improved impacts for philanthropic ventures in multiple settings enabled Rob to develop methodologies for guiding hundreds of others to do the same. He proved anyone can learn the powerful heuristics, practices and frameworks useful to deliver objectively better and higher performing outcomes in any domain. His work has proven any desired societal improvements can be made measurable, valued and highly demanded into profitability at local, national and global scale.

     

    Rob has also served as Community Development Commissioner for the City of Austin, as founding Board member of Social Venture Partners International, and has won three separate US state governors' awards for community impact innovation projects.

     

    His vision remains for many more people to learn and use his powerful social wealth creation tools and improve the world through their own agency.
